China-Egypt TEDA Suez Industrial Park meeting with JH METAL

On July 25, 2024, the delegation of China-Egypt TEDA Suez Industrial Park visited the China-Africa Base and held a significant symposium with enterprises from Hunan. The purpose of this symposium was to enhance cooperation and exchanges between the two sides and jointly explore development opportunities in the economic and trade fields..

During the symposium, representatives of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Industrial Park detailed the current development status, investment environment, and preferential policies of the industrial park. As an important platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and Egypt, the industrial park has complete infrastructure, a convenient transportation network, and rich resource advantages, providing broad development space for enterprises..

The metal ingots market is closely tied to the global supply chain, and recent disruptions have had a profound impact on both availability and pricing. The pandemic, along with geopolitical tensions, has led to bottlenecks in the transportation of raw materials and finished products. For example, disruptions in the supply of bauxite (for aluminum production) and copper ore have affected the production of aluminum and copper ingots, leading to price volatility. Similarly, restrictions on mining and production in key regions, such as Latin America and Africa, have further strained supply chains.

Representatives of Hunan enterprises showed great interest and conducted in-depth exchanges with the delegation on issues of concern. These issues involved multiple aspects such as market access, tax policies, labor costs, and industrial chain support. Through the interaction, both sides enhanced mutual understanding, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Relevant officials of the China-Africa Base stated that this symposium was an important opportunity to promote Hunan enterprises to “go global” and expand the international market. The cooperation between the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Industrial Park and Hunan enterprises will help achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and promote common development of both sides.

The person in charge of Hunan Jin Hong Metal attended the meeting and introduced the progress of the company’s investment in the scrap aluminum smelting project in Egypt, and reported on the supply of scrap aluminum resources in Egypt.
